No, you cannot refer yourself. To earn credit for the 2017 Member Get a Member program, you must be an ISACA member and you must recruit individuals who are not current members.
No, if your colleague did not use your member ID number, you will not earn credit for recruiting that individual. For you to earn recruitment credit through the Member Get a Member program, your colleagues must enter your ISACA Member ID number when joining. If you do not know your ISACA Member ID, you can locate it on your myPROFILE page or contact us at 847.660.5505 or support.isaca.org.
To earn recruitment credit through ISACA’s 2017 Member Get a Member program, your colleague must be a new member of ISACA who has referenced your member ID number during the membership application process between 1 August and 31 December 2017.
After ISACA verifies that your recruited colleague/s have successfully joined ISACA and entered your member ID number on their membership applications, you will receive an email notification at the end of each month to reflect the number of new members you have recruited.
With their permission, ISACA will announce winners and reward recipients on the Winners' Circle page. Winners and reward recipients will be notified by the end of February 2018 and then prizes will begin getting processed/shipped. See program participation Rules.

The ISACA Member Get a Member membership drive (the “Campaign”) is open to persons who are at least the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, and who are ISACA® members in good standing prior to the beginning date of the Campaign Period (“Eligible Members”). Employees, contractors, directors and officers of ISACA (“Sponsor”), its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, sales representatives, retailers, and advertising, promotion and judging agencies and all other service agencies involved with the Campaign, and members of the immediate family (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouse) and household of each such employee (“Campaign Parties”) are not eligible to participate. Void in Cuba, Iran, Sudan, Syria, and where prohibited by law.
The Campaign begins on August 1, 2017 at 12:00:00am United States Central Standard Time (CST) and ends on December 31, 2017 at 11:59:59pm CST. Sponsor’s time clock is the official time clock for the Campaign.
Eligible Members can participate in the Campaign by providing information about ISACA and their membership ID numbers to the individuals they wish to recruit and who are eligible for ISACA membership and are not ISACA members or provisional members (complimentary membership awarded to Certification Exam Passers) during the Campaign Period (“Eligible Recruits”). Any person who is an existing ISACA Member prior to the Campaign Period does not constitute an Eligible Recruit. Eligible Recruits who join ISACA as a Professional Member (including payment in full of 2018 membership dues and local ISACA Chapter dues if applicable (“Join”) and provide an Eligible Member’s ISACA member number at the time of signup during the Campaign Period (“Existing Member Number”) will be deemed “New ISACA Professional Members.” New ISACA Professional Members do not include Eligible Recruits who join ISACA as Academic Advocates, Recent Graduates or Student Members.
ELIGIBLE MEMBERS MAY NOT POST THEIR EXISTING MEMBER NUMBER THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA OR OTHERWISE PUBLICALLY DISPLAY THEIR EXISTING MEMBER NUMBER FOR THE PURPOSE OF GETTING CREDIT IN THE CAMPAIGN FOR NEW ISACA PROFESSIONAL MEMBERS. THOSE THAT DO, MAY BE DISQUALIFIED AT SPONSOR’S DISCRETION.
If at least two (2) Eligible Recruits Join ISACA during the Campaign Period as New ISACA Professional Members and provide an Eligible Member’s Existing Member Number , the Eligible Member will receive one (1) of the following items (“Recruitment Incentive”) or a comparable incentive:

ARV is as of date of printing of these Official Rules. The difference in value of Recruitment Incentive as stated herein and value at time of Recruitment Incentive notification, if any, will not be awarded. Recruitment Incentives are non-transferable and no cash equivalent or substitution of Recruitment Incentive is offered, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. If a Recruitment Incentive, or any portion thereof, cannot be awarded for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute it with another incentive of equal or greater value. Recipients of Recruitment Incentives will be solely responsible for all federal, state and/or local taxes, and for any other fees or costs associated with the Recruitment Incentive they receive, regardless of whether it, in whole or in part, are used, except where prohibited by law. The ARV of the Recruitment Incentive(s) is based on available information provided to Sponsor and the value of any Recruitment Incentive awarded to an Eligible Member may be reported for tax purposes where required by law. Recipients of Recruitment Incentives acknowledge that Campaign Parties have not made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any Recruitment Incentive, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose. Any and all warranties and/or guarantees on a Recruitment Incentive (if any) are subject to the respective manufacturers’ terms therefore, and recipients of Recruitment Incentives agree to look solely to such manufacturers for any such warranty and/or guarantee.
Sponsor is not responsible for any change of email address, mailing address and/or telephone number of Eligible Members. Recipients of Recruitment Incentives are subject to verification, including verification of age. If a recipient of a Recruitment Incentive is found not to be eligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, the recipient of the Recruitment Incentive will be disqualified. Recruitment Incentives will be awarded by 31 March 2018. If prizes are not claimed by 15 April 2018, the prize will be forfeited.
General Conditions and Limitations of Liability and Release. By participating in the Campaign you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects.
Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information whether caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Campaign or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of the Entries. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend this Campaign should fraud, virus, bugs or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the Campaign.
As a condition of participating in the Campaign, Eligible Members agree (and agree to confirm in writing) to the extent permissible by law: (a) to release the Campaign Parties from any and all liability, loss or damage incurred with respect to the awarding, receipt, possession, and/or use or misuse of any Recruitment Incentive, including any traveling related thereto (b) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and participant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, consequential, or any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses; (c) all causes of action arising out of or connected with this sweepstakes, or any Recruitment Incentive awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (d) any and all claims, judgments, and award shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, excluding attorneys’ fees and court costs.
In the event, and to the extent, that Egyptian, English, French, German, Hong Kong, Malaysian, Norwegian, Singaporean, or any other law applies where a liability limitation concerning death or bodily injury, or any other tort, is not permitted, nothing in these Official Rules shall be taken to limit or exclude any party’s liability for death or bodily injury caused by such party’s negligence, or for fraud or gross negligence.
The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Official Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein. In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures or other statements contained in any Campaign-related materials and the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control.
The Campaign and these Official Rules are governed by US law and are subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Campaign Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of Eligible Members and Sponsor in connection with the Campaign, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Illinois, U.S.A., without giving effect to the conflict of laws rules thereof, and any matters or proceedings in connection with the Campaign or these Official Rules, shall take place in the State of Illinois, USA, in the City of Chicago. Laws in an Eligible Member’s country of residence may give the Eligible Member the right to file claims before the courts of that country and may provide that some laws of that country are also applicable to this Campaign.
